Elasticsearch is a noSQL database, firstly developed for text data search, though over time it has evolved into a powerful noSQL database optimized for logs and time series data.

When it comes to NetVizura, we have started to gradually transfer time series data from PostgreSQL to Elasticsearch database since NetVizura 4.7.1. Completely aware that this is one major change, we have decided to conduct the aforementioned transition progressively. Now, with NetVizura 5.1 and afterwards, after a lot of testing and a lot of work, Elasticsearch database is our main database, enabled right after you run NetVizura.
